Facade

This was from a project last year in either my art class or my art-history class... i can't really remember right now...

The title had to do with a combination of facades from different sources to form the individual I am today... _{like i said this could be for an art class OR an art-history class.} So this takes into account my asian/Japanese background on the left, symbolized with a geisha doll, an old-school Barbie doll on the right to symbolize the influence of the western society, and then "me" in the middle, which is one of those dolls... that were all over fanime.. sorry i don't know what they're called. The moon in the background had something to do with the idea that there's always a side that you can't see, just as there are many sides to who I am.... _{sorry again, this was a while, it was well-rehearsed back in November, but now i forget..}

Anywhoo this was done in maybe... 3 hours, entirely in black and white charcoal on a sketch pad.
